latest technology
Joe.R asked:

considering a hair transplant. Is there any newer technology I should consider? I have tried Rogaine, which is simply garbage.

There is no effective method for hair regrowth. The best you can do is just shave the rest off, you’ll look slightly less creepy than with a bald spot on the top.

I have a full head of thick hair….but a year and a half ago I had to undergo chemotherapy for Hodgkins Lymphoma. I was so scared to lose my hair……but I decided to do it with a smile on my face. After the first chemo and first shots of Nuprigen my hair began to fall out. On my head, I’d say I lost about 95% of it - still some whispy hair…but I shaved that off. Had that been it, as far as hair loss, I wouldn’ve been cool with it. I had a really nice head…and you can sort of ‘groove’ with is - grow a goatee or a soul patch…get a little hoop earring and ‘claim to be Mr. Clean’. The downside of mine was that I lost my eyebrows/eyelashes…and every other hair too…..so I looked like a chemo patient. But had I kept the latter, I think I’d have been OK with it….

Take it in stride. Bald can be beautiful ;)
