LED-backlit LCD television or LED TV is an LCD TV that uses LED backlighting rather than fluorescent lights used in traditional LCD televisions.

LED have better picture, deeper black, thinner set and 40% less power consumption than LCD HDTV but more expensive.

LCD is having crystals why LED is having emitting diode , LCD will give you clear picture while LED will work as a seven segment display

it is the difference between day and night

completely different powering technologies.

right now the hot-ticket items are LED because of reduced power usage and long-term longevity.
