I have a laptop using WIndows 7, and I am currently using it to display something for a booth I am working. Unfortunately, within 20 minutes the computer goes into standby mode, and I can’t seem to do anything about this. I can disable the screen saver, but nowhere can I find an option for standby mode. Could anybody help me out with this?

it’s the power saver options that you want to change. go to where you can change the screen saver (right click on desktop, then “Personalize” then click “screen saver”) at the bottom under power management, click the “Change power settings” link then click the “high perfomance plan” and select the “change plan settings” so that you can turn everything to “Never”

This is easy enough. go to the right end corner of the taskbar where the pc clock is located you will find an icon there saying power options(should be visible as a battery). click open the menu and open more power options. look at the left hand side of the window that opens, you will find a link “change when the computer sleeps”. you should be able to tweek the settings from here.
